The Review (By Jack098):
Game Play: Airline Tycoon is the kind of game which is made by gameplay. Game Play can mean the difference
between 60% and 80%. In Airline Tycoon the game play gives
it a 60% mark not an 80%. The game play is very glitchy and has a tendancy to suddenly freeze or shut down. The actual game
play its self is all very simple, but not effective. GSP have made it to simple, and there is no real 'strategy' as it were.
You simply run to get flights, stick them on your calendar, and wait till morning to repeat that aggonnisingly slow and simple
process all over.
Graphics: Nothing special, but at the same time nothing bad. GSP have kept it plain and simple, not
attempting anything to adventurous. Don't be put off by this though, the game doesn't glitch and the graphics don't do much
to destroy your expierence.
Sound: The sound is the best bit of the game. The characters speak in their own personalised manner
and the tone changes (similar to Broken Sword). Each morning the meeting is spoken and works well. On the other hand each morning you hear the same as yesterday. It never
changes.
Story: When I say story I mean the campaign. The campaign works fine but there is not much variation in the
campaigns, similar to LotR:BME.
Multiplayer: Probably the best bit of the game. The multiplayer works really well and allows you to interact
with your opponents in a competitive way. The main problem is that it has no objective so doesn't end.
Overall: 69%. A decent, yet simple game. Good for a few hours but just becomes repetitive.
£5.99 is worth it though.
